for an older sister Mary E. born Sept. 7, 1937 to Viola Rebbeca Hart in
the Elgin County, Ont. area. In 1998 I was told by way of non-identifying
information that she lived not far from Port Bruce, where I still own property
and visit every summer. I was also told that she had blue eyes and brown
hair. Was about 5ft.2in. tall. Had 2 children, I believe they were boys.
After the government waited for about 6 weeks, she had changed her mind
about meeting me. I do know from previous correspondence that there was
a paper chase in her adoption. My adoption was finalized in July, 1942.
and Mary E.'s adoption should have gone through at that time. I also know
that our natural mother was at Mary's adopted home when her adopted mother

This is
going to be difficult. I am looking for my half-sister. All I have to go
on is that she was born in Toronto in the spring of 1953...again this is
I hope the right time frame. My mother moved to Toronto after being date
raped and found out she was pregnant. My mother was from a small town in
Manitoba. The baby's name was Joy. I have come to some of these conclusions
by way of detective work. I found a picture of a New Year's eve party from
1952 just before my mother moved. She knew she was pregnant before moving.
My own dad tried asking questions of my mother but got nowhere. The only
thing he could come up with was my mother use to get sad in the spring.
We do know that wherever she went in Toronto had to do with the Catholic
Church as she has said she promised the Catholic priest she would not look
for the baby after the adoption. My parents met in 1954 and my dad guessed
from conversations and moods that my mom had been pregnant and gave the
baby up but when we spoke with my mom she didn't want to talk too much about

(a guess) 1969 or 70. There's speculation that she may have been adopted
by doctor and his family who lived in Oakville, ON - but it's all speculation,
and I assume it may have been passed along to my mother to ease her conscience.
My mother seems to believe that she may have had or has a problem with her
leg due to complications at birth - but again, it's speculation. Also, I

Toronto East General, October 21 1985, at 12:39 am at 6lbs and 2 oz healthy
baby boy. My son was taken into care for the first time and into an emergency
foster home on Sept 16 1986. Both times due to me being abused. Returned
to me on Nov 11th 1986. John Cory Truckle was taken once again into care
and put in an Emergency Foster Home December 27th 1986. He had been in the
care of my ex-husband who was found to be intoxicated (alcoholism)(drug
abuse). At that time I was allowed 2 hours per week to visit in which John
Cory was happy to see me and responded well to me..The visits were: July
27, August 12,19 and the 26th 1986. January 1988 John Cory became a permanent
ward of the agency. John Cory met his a-parents in March 1988 and moved
in May of 1988. Early in 1989 John Cory's adoption had been finalized apparently
in Toronto Ontario through a worker in CAS - his a-parents were both in
the 40's age range. They had a baby girl as well that John Cory always played
