I am searching for a sister I have never met. Her name is Dawn with a possible unmarried name of JOHNSON or JOHSTON.....she was born in the Winnipeg area 53-56 yrs ago...............Her mother is Helen Johnston or Johnson and her maiden name was ROMANIUK from what I can determined my Father met Helen in the Downtown Winnipeg, West End, Weston area and that she was a free spirit, having her own apartment at that time. My father Donald William Murphy would have been 16-18 yrs of age, and attending St. Paul College at the time. The two met and fell in love, and Baby Dawn (possibly Dawn Marie) was born in a Winnipeg area Hospital. From what I can determine my father was forbidden to see his daughter (knowing the ma,n this caused an unmeasrable amount of sadness to which he never talked about). From what I can determine there lives took seperate directions. Helen ROMANIUK was to marry a Mr JOHNSON or JOHNSTON and Dawn was to have his last name. The Family lived in the Winnipeg, or surrounding Winnipeg area for many years. From what I can determine My father knew where his daughter lived and had in-fact checked at the Post Office. Knowing him, he probably watched her from afar. Growing up, I used to wonder why my father would become sad and withdrawn during these times.........I now know he was thinking about Dawn.

Dawn, my father never mentioned you to me ( probably a promise to my mother) and your name only surfaced after he had passed away in July 0f 2001. I have checked with Aunts for further information, had gone through his personal papers and nothing. Our father was an immenslly private man,,,,,,,,but I always knew there was a secret. I know many years have gone by, and some say why not leave lying dogs lay, but I would welcome the possibility of speaking to you, sharing some stories, photos, and importantly medical histories. I look forward to looking into another human face and seeing Our father. Dawn, I don't know what you know of him, or think of him......but please give me a chanse to tell you about him. We are searching for my brother Donald Morrow, born June 2, 1958 in Winnipeg Manitoba. We believe he was a private adoption, which was settled quite soon after delivery. I was born Sheri Kim Johnston, June 30 1967, Winnipeg, Manitoba. My mother;s name was Patricia and my fathers name was Alan (these are the names I was told). My mother died when I was two years old in a car accident, not sure if it was in Canada or the US (Minneapolis, Minnesota area possibly) my father, so I was told, died when I was five-unknown circumstances. I've had no connection with any of my natural family since my adoption and would very much like to know where I've come from and meet my natural family. The family that adopted me lived in Anchorage, Alaska and knew my natural parents. My adoptee father was also Canadian, from Fort Frances, Ontario and my mother was from Great Falls, Montana. Their names are Steve and Jean Audette. I've heard there was some turmoil from my adoption between families and my natural family never saw me again. Female Adoptee searching for nfamily. Born at Flin Flon General Hospital, Flin Flon, Manitoba. Name at Birth: Delores Anne. Name of nmother: Denise Settee, born in The Pas, Manitoba on June 14, 1944 (Her mother's name was Blanche Settee). Additional Info: I have 2 half sisters, born in 1963 and 1965. It is believed that they remained with my nmother. My nfather was employed in the Forestry industry around Flin Flon (Simpson Lumber?), but he probably does not know about me.
